Can A Lie Really Fix Anything?
Certainly some would argue, a lie hurts no one.
But that’s usually coming from the liars who are attempting to defend and justify their lying.
However, no one likes it once they’ve come to realize they’ve been just lied to.
They feel betrayed and rightly so!
While one justifies their behavior, the other’s in denial because they can’t believe they’ve been lied to.
Or should you beg of them;
Whisper sweat nothing’s into my ears because the truth is like drinking vinegar and your lies taste sweeter than honey. Give me what I want to hear because the truths to painful for me too bear.
We’ve all experienced it once or twice, maybe even more times than not, where a lie was easier to hear than the truth.
I can see how a lie might be more enjoyable or even less painful than the truth sometimes.
Because let’s be honest, the truth isn’t always easy to hear and it’s not always the popular one in the crowd.
However, the context of truth determines it’s level of pain or pleasure.
But no matter what the context, a lie can never heal a person no matter what degree of temperature it’s been said.
A broken and torn soul a lie can never heal.
Although there are times when the truth is too painful for some to bear,
So they create their own lie in an effort to comfort themselves.
Sometimes they do this in hope of one day swallowing the truth whole.
While others prefer and choose to live their entire lives as a lie.
No matter where, what, when, why or how,
A lie can never heal a person’s soul even though some lies make it easier for us to bear life’s sometimes painful truth.
Because reality isn’t always easy for us to live in and not all of us are strong enough to live in it’s light.
So some out of desperation put on their cloak of lies in hope of not being exposed for who and what they really are.
But wait, not all lies are the same!
Let’s Explore further;
A lie told to cover up cheating or stealing is never okay, in business or in a relationship.
It’s these two,
Cheating and stealing that a lie is nothing more than a band-aid being placed on a laceration that’s bleeding out.
The one being lied to in this scenario is dying a slow painful, but certain death.
Betrayal and broken trust can never be given again because the ghosts of doubt have created a cancer within. BLM
The only solution for cancer is to find and identify it as quickly as possible so that the person or business that’s infected can eliminate and eradicated the infection before the doctor gives the final death sentence.
Now, the insanity of self delusion becomes the new norm for the liar, cheaters and thief’s,
All the while unknowingly entrapping themselves in the web of lies they weaved for others.
The liar cover’s their lies with more lies, but the fatal wound bleeds profusely!
Everyone involved attempts to throw something on the open wound, but nothing can stop the bleeding.
An untreated wound of this magnitude eventually succumbs to gangrene and death begins knocking on their door.
But the liar, blinded by the insanity of their own lies can’t see that the lie is nothing but a useless band-aid that’s already covered in blood, lying on the ground.
And so they blame the problem on their dying victim and the innocent bystanders that were only there trying to help.
The madly insane liar convinces themselves that it’s everyone else, but themselves, who is to blame.
The infection is death, but still they deny and persist in telling their cleverly crafted lies with greater conviction,
As if (1 + 5 = 32)
Let’s play a little trivia game:
What do liars, cheaters and thieves all have in common?
I’ll give you a hint, it only has three letters.
They all LIE to cover up the truth!
Back to the more serious stuff
A business or relationship that knowingly and willfully allows for this cancer to go untreated,
Will eventually die a slow but certain death, even to the point of taking all the innocent bystanders down with them.
- Cut out the cancer,
- Get emergency treatment,
- And begin to rebuild your immune system!
So you’ll never have to stare cancer in the face again.
But if it ever where to come knocking at your door once more, you’ll know that familiar knock and never make the mistake of opening the wrong door ever again.
This is why,
A lie is like putting a band-aid on a laceration. It’s only going to hold for so long before it bleeds out causing death to its victim. – Bradford Lee Mace
